ABOUT KAREN HUSLIK, CREATOR OF SAFE PASSAGES
Karen's experience with birth is a blend of western science and intuitive healing arts.
With 26 years' experience as a labor and delivery RN, holding national certification in obstetrics, she understands the science of birth and is well acquainted with hospital jargon and protocols.
As a certified labor doula, she works with you, using an array of healing modalities to create the space you need to move the power of birth away from outside "authorities" and back to the wisdom of your capable body.
A longtime seeker on the spiritual path, she will honor the sacredness and cultural customs of your birth journey.
In addition to the offerings below, she
honors your choices in childbirth preparation and familiarizes herself with your preferred coping techniques.
